Super A Touch Control

As I understand it the Super A has two touch control levers. One controls a front implement and the other controls a rear implement (basically you can use two implements independently) unlike a cub where the one lever cntrols both front and back?

That's correct. There are two independent control levers. One for a set of implements attached about halfway between the seat and the front end, and the other controlled a set of implements attached behind the tractor. The Farmall 140 also used the same setup.

On the Super A, there are 2 rockshafts (concentric) on the Touch-Control unit. One sticks out both sides and has an arm on each end. The other only sticks out the left and has a single arm. What implement is controlled by each lever depends on how you hook up the lift rods.

Conventionally, the left lever (controls the left-only rockshaft) is used to lift the rear rockshaft/implement. The right lever (controls the 2-arm rockshaft) is used with front mounted implements. When we had corn on a hillside, I moved the left front lift rod to the "rear" arm so the left and rear worked together. I could then control the working depth of each side according to which way I was going across the hill.

There were other front mount implements that used both levers (up-down and left-right).

Not an option on the Super A. The dual arms on both sides was a standard part of Touch-Control on the C, became an option on the Super C.

Your lefts and rights are different than mine? On my 140, the single rockshaft is on the right as you are sitting in the seat facing forward. If the
double rockshaft was on the right it would interfere with the steering wheel shaft.

I think we are saying the same thing. The single ARM on the right side is attached to a rockshaft that also extends to the left side with another arm. There is a second shaft out the left with a single arm. Thus there are 2 arms on the left, one on each shaft.

You appear to be describing the (left) end as a double rockshaft while I described it as two concentric shafts, each with one arm.

Yes, I read your post as saying the single arm was on the left. On rereading what you said was that the shaft that only went to one side was on the left. The other shaft goes to both sides so there are two rockshaft arms on the left and one on the right. Sorry for the confusion.
