I think that's my problem it won't go down in the groove good I got it at Napa going to get a different one and see if that helps

Ok I got the leak fixed had to scrape some of the old gasket out it was like metal. Now I can let it run for a few minutes and the rear lift works good but the front one doesn't the rod is moving the pivot on the outside but won't come up or down any suggestions on this? And I do appreciate all the help. If you ever have trouble with a New Holland square baler I can sure help you with that I just don't have a lot of experience with the farmall

Unless someone added a bunch of extra hydraulic junk to your super A, the "front lift" and "rear lift" are both operated from the touch control under the gas tank, connected by rods. There are two sets of arms, providing two different functions, which can be hooked to any number of implements. It's common to have a plow lift on the rear, and cultivator frames on the front. Rather than removing the entire implement, farmers often removed only what was in the way, because it was easier.

Most likely the "front lift" aka the cultivator frame, is just rusted and needs some lubrication, heat, and gentle persuasion with a BFH.

I can raise the front cultivators by hand and the rod that moves the control valve is moving back and forth can the valve inside be stuck

There are many components in that hydraulic "Box" One of the valves is likely stuck, or the piston could be stuck. The illustration linked to is from the on line caseih.com parts catalog. Not all components are available from IH, but most are common Orings or aftermarket. Jim

Get it up to temp then work the lever for raise and lower to it's stops until hopefully they both start working There are a bunch of ball and spring check valves. They may be stuck in gummy oil. Good luck
