to level the tool bars which way do you turn the double ended bolt that looks like a turn buckle? sounds kind of dumb; however, mine are rusted up and trying to get them to adjust? gonna need a 24 or 36" pipe wrench and a lot of pent.oil

All turnbuckles have RH threads on one end and LH threads on the other. If they were put in so the RH threads are up, turning the buckle so the side toward you goes to the right will shorten it. I would wire brush the threads that are exposed, use ATF or a penetrant of your choice, and expect to use heat on the buckle to get it to move. Taking one end loose allows single threads to be freed at a time. Jim

I had success removing the pin on one end and heating the buckle. Use a rod to turn the buckle and one of the sides will break loose. Once it is good and free use a large adjustable to work on the other side. Remember to use a lot of heat first. The idea here is that you are only working on one end of the buckle at a time. Larry

Lots of heat and once you get them free it will be easy to see which way they need to go.

You can get a long way towards getting the cultivators set even by adusting the stop clamp on the top of the rods. If
you have seen a set, you know what I mean. It really doesn't matter much because you can't just set the levers and go.
Which ever side you are not watching will be burying the plants.
