Super C hydraulic pump installation

I installed a new hydraulic pump on a 51-52 Super C now engine will not turn over?

Hard to imagine the pump causing that. Did the shaft in the pump turn before installation? Can you turn the motor by hand. Maybe tractor is stuck in 2 gears or starter locked up against fly wheel. Maybe an electrical problem.

I noticed the shaft in the pump would not turn by hand.
Prior to installing the pump, the tractor ran fine. After the installation, starter will not turn engine. Tried pull starting and engine will not turn over.

You should be able to turn the pump shaft by hand easily. If the pump was completely frozen that could be your problem, but they are really simple, take it off, and apart if need be. They are really just 2 gears.
