I put one of the new ratchet style starter drives on my Super C and it won't engage the ring gear. Motor just spins. Everything looked good on the starter when I had it apart and its 12 volts so it spins like crazy. Is there any trick to installing the new drive. I just slide it on until it was over the half moon key and tightened the screw.

If, when it is pulled out all the way, it does not get to the end of the travel, it must. Where did you get it? ask them, and/or look at the directions. Jim
