Super h upper bolster bushing

Does the bushing wear out or does the shaft wear out. Have one that has a lot of play in that area and before I dig into it or the customer doesn't want to go that far, I would like to know.

Most of those pins are really, really hard, and the bushings are usually brass or bronze. Given enough abrasive, the pin will wear too, but as Nebraska Kirk said, its usually the bushings. If they wear through, then it's the cast bolster that carries the bushing that wears out next. steve
