Did the 1952 Super M (series I) come from the factory with live hydraulics?

No, not live, just a belly pump.

I have a 52 SM and no they didn't have the live pump however like many I put one on it when I restored the tractor. The front plate on the motor has the right bolt hole spacing to bolt the pump on, also the 52's have the heavier timing gear setup to drive the pumps long term.

IH didn't have live PTO and Hydraulics in the early 50's. John Deere had Independent PTO and Hydraulics (Independent is a step above live by the way) in the early 50's, IH figured it out much later. Just one of many reasons why Deere left IH in the dust.
