Super M Live Hydraulic Removal

We have a stage I Super with a M&W hydraulic pump. I plan to remove it but I havent yet found the distributor gear part to bolt back in its place. My question is will a regular M have the same part?

No
The holes where it bolts to the timing cover wont line up. Theyre about a half a hole off as I recall.
Found out the hard way. But its nothing a dremel tool cant cure

No. the early M and later M (SuperM/400/450) use different dist drives. As said,about a bolthole off.I learned that the hard way...

Part was changed during the year 1950. M after that and SM with no engine pump and later tractors built without a engine driven pump will have the ignition drive housing. Look for number 354951R1 on housing.

W6 serial 29137 and up and M serial number 228082 and up would have what you need
