In the pic the snap ring LOOKS ok... but down below it hangs down a lot. I think i could pull it out with my finger. Of curse i noticed the problem AFTER I re-installed it. Not much luck on the Case IH website....

Well thats a good question, i would try Bates, no secret supplier that i use !!!

Not sure what you mean ..not much luck at the CaseIH website.. Click on number 33 in the link. It is a bit spendy at $25.25 but cheaper than Bates or Messicks. You probably have to select a dealer to get a price. If you are confident you can get one with the proper tension, take good measurements you will probably find a ..Circ-clip.. style from an industrial supply that would work. There may even be one in this kit from Northern Tool, totally use at your own risk. I think if I could not find a used one I would just bite the bullet and pay the $26 and know the right one is in there.

I found one at Messicks for the same price as Case IH. Yes , gets expensive when you add shipping. They have got you, and they know it.
