Super Major pwr steering

I'm working on a Super Major for a guy and the power steering works great one way and only about half as good the other.Any ideas,on anything I mite be over looking?Thanks for any help

From the parts site, it looks similar to the early 3 cylinder 4000 power steering setup. A single steering arm on the left side with a single external cylinder with the pressure line going from the pump to the cylinder and the return line going from the cylinder to the reservoir, and the control valve is inside the cylinder. Most likely an o-ring is leaking on one side of the control valve and not the other, or at least more on one side than the other. Sounds like you need to rebuild the control valve.
