Super mta hydraulics

Resealed my pump on my mta over the winter, never had or have used the hydraulics until today when using a 12 disk. Wouldnt lift it well had to rev the engine all the way up to get it to go up if I was lucky. I tested the pump on the hoses and had 1100 psi. I believe they run 1200psi? Anyway could I have a internal leak in the reservoir? Or could my pump be worn? Yes its full of fluid. And I have a Christmas tree valve on it

1100 is kinda normal. the changing of the pressure regulator is not a good idea. the system (from cam gear to fittings is designed around a max of 1200. it is not going to act like a 2000 or 2500psi system. Jim

What size cylinder is on the disk? If it is a 3 or 3 1/2 in. I would think it should lift it fine. You say ..never had or have used the hydraulics until today.. does that mean you never used them on this tractor ever? So that means you do not know if they ever worked properly? When you get the disk raised does it stay in that position, slowly settling an inch in a half hour would be fine. When you say ..tested the pump on the hoses.. does that mean you plugged a gauge into the remote outlet or something else? Roughly what throttle setting ..rpm.. was the tractor rpm when you did the pressure check? Generally when a pump is worn the drop in flow output and the psi sort of drop together. To me 1100 should lift a disk, but plenty of unknowns.

Plugged the gauge into to outlet and had tractor running 3/4-full throttle for the 1100 psi. Not sure on the cylinder size probably a 3 cylinder maybe 2.5 but would have to check. Disk didnt drop any after I had it raise for most of the day. They use to split wood with it before I got it so I know they worked but I hadnt used them since Ive had it.

you need need at least 3 1/2 inch cyl for that tractor. even 4 inch is better. 2 1/2 wont lift with my experience even a 560 struggles. plus depends on the disc weight too.

Not much an M wont pick up with a 4 inch cylinder. If there is no binding of linkage on the implement, see if you have a faulty remote connector trying to form a hydraulic lock.
