Super WDR-9

At my farm we have a tractor back in the trees, on the hood it says Super WDR-9 but the serial tag just says S WD 9, say nothing about being a WDR-9. I would assume it has the wrong hood but it has a hand clutch. If someone has had any idea it would be appreciated.

On the serial number tags super is indicated by an S so you have a Super

It’s quite possible to have the wrong decal on the hood. Most important is what the serial number says. Yes either models can have a hand clutch do that don’t say much as to what it is. Does it have a decelerator ? Rice models have them. Mine is serial number 7100 with only I think 20 some tractors built after it. Even if you post a pic of it. Wonder if it has the 26” hubs of the 34 “? Plus it has i higher platform so that is another give away too. Post the rear also.

He knows that it is a super , he is asking if it’s a rice model.

its a scrap iron super wd 9. the only thing i would salvage is them rear wheel weights.

I think the difficulty level would be a bit higher on this one gas start diesel and all that. His spare parts department would show a lot of “out of stocks” as well. It would look kind of funny with a left rear wheel off a Cub.

Wyat.., welcome to YT! Have any plans for the 9 or just doing some archeology on it? It would have to be a labor of love. Got a 600 right next door as well. And I think that is a “non-exploded” Pinto in front.

both them tractors, the super and 600 are the same units, with slight differences . still not enough for me to get excited about even though the 600 was only made for about 6 months. u will spend 20 k to get 5 k back.

We have at least 15 super/regular WD-9,
W-9,600,&650 that my grampa and uncle used to farm with. So I have no shortage of parts! I want to get some of these going again and once I finish the case 701b I have in my shop, I think I will be starting on the super WD-9 with the hand clutch.

what is the tank on the left side of the tractor? looks like some type of hydraulic pump . a 502 crate motor or a hemi in there would make a nice puller!,
