Sure Seal for a TEA-20?

Will the Sure Seal work on a TEA-20?

Early models prior to 1953 ? Yes , that is what they were designed for . Later ones don't need them .

I would like to post my experience with the Sure Seals for a TO20. The instructions state to grease the bearing but does not elaborate, so I called ASAP and asked one of their techs and he tells me to "lightly" grease the bearing,,,? Well, My engineering mind tells me to "PACK" that bearing with as much wheel bearing grease as can get in there.! As well as leaving some on the inside of the new Sure Seal that will wind up next to the bearing.
When you look at the position of the Sure Seal to the Bearing,,you are actually cutting off any path for the lubricant from the differential to get that bearing. The cone end of the Sure Seal has a tight fit on a machined surface of the axle so NO OIL can migrate from the differential to that bearing.
Just something to consider if you plan on constant, hard work for your tractor.
As for Me, all my TO20 is gonna do is pull a brush hog and maybe a blade, 3-4 times a year,,,, Hope this helps,,,,

Thanks, I will take that advice into consideration when I put in the Sure Seal. Saw a
video of Sure Seal installation on U-Tube and this guy packed the bearing with grease.

Short fiber wheel bearing grease as found with drum brakes. Not that greasy glop. Installation tool can be a 3' piece of 3 ABS plastic with the edges beveled on the seal if they aren't already done.

Hey Bruce,,ten four on the grease type for this application. I did not have a piece of 3" PVC and the local lumber yard only sold 10 foot pieces for too much money just for a 3 foot piece, so I made a couple of pieces of 3/8" plate cut to look like them old school "taps" for your shoe heels,,(member them? lol)) drilled a couple of 1/4" bolt holes on em, put some bolts with nuts on em and just snugged them seals right onto the axle pretty as you please,,,,!! More'n one way to skin a cat besides f,,,,err never mind,,,,lol.
