Second day of our Ag Expo my good friend Nick shows up with this beauty.
She is pristine ,runs sweet.
He is a serious M.M. aficionado has the M.M.'s his dad farmed with and always looking for a favorite.
He also has a beautiful G-1000 on L.P. that he farms and pulls with and last night at Winter Nationals held after hours of the World Ag-Expo Ca. He put on one hell of a performance that 1000 would not give it up and clawed itself toward the finish line just above stall bringing the fans to loud cheers & applause. Needless to say his feet never touched the ground the rest of the night.
He is usually smiling but he was pretty nervous waiting his turn. He didn't think so but I know him well enough he was nervous. but what a show that M.M. put on.
BTW for the correct police he is aware of a little touch up he may have to do on side panels but that's minor . Tony

I have a neighbor, he loved his Minnies too. he kept if back from the auction, and it sat there for about 5 years and one dark nite, yes, it disappeared. He wasn't living on the farm anymore, but it was never found !

Tony, So glad you posted those pics, I To have a Soft Spot for those big Minnie's, We ran the HD 800 MM as our Irrigation Engines they are Virtually indestructible We had one that was sat Brand new in Summer of 1978 and was never moved till fall of 88 when it finely needed an over haul. Change oil ever 2 weeks, Keep the Valves Adjusted regularly, Those slow turning, High torque 6 cylinder engines are truly monsters, They really do not handle Turbo-ing and gutting well! Saw guys turbo them and ask that engine for waaay more than what they were designed,, about 1 yr on a deep Irrigation well and they will Grenade! Not a pretty sight!
Thanks, Tony

Wish the picture showed the entire tractor, looks good no matter which forum. No doubt the propane tank is behind the seat- unless an extra one on the front.

Wife's mother had an irrigated quarter and the original early '70s engine was a new Chrysler 413 industrial. Ran about 3 years and was too worn out to rebuild. Replaced it with a 6 cyl. M-M and it ran well over 20 years and as I recall, was rebuilt twice in that time. Finally replaced 7-8 years ago with a JD. My wife and her brother sold to their cousin about 4 years ago and I don't know how that one is holding up.
