Prayers sent for both of you. It is a difficult step to take, but often necessary. My mom spent her last 5 years of life in such a facility. Your health and well being will be improved also, even though it seems tough right now.

So sorry to hear this, I have been wondering how you were getting along since moving. I'll add you and Susan to my daily prayer list. Both grandparents on Mom's side had Alzheimers, Mom and her 2 sisters all had it and I'm afraid that if I live long enough I'll get it. It is painful to watch someone you love slowly fade away. It's difficult to understand God's plan for each of us and why things happen, all we can do is trust in him and pray for strength to help us through whatever happens. I'm sorry Red.
It is a sad affair.
My sister is in a similar situation.
Poor health, Alzheimer's. Her husband had to put her in a home as he couldn't care for her himself any longer.
He visits her nearly every day. Couple of times a week he takes her out for a drive and an ice cream cone. She doesn't know who he is but she's always happy for the ice cream.
