I saw one in action at a local farm. Made bird noises that the other birds didn’t like. We were at the farm as one of the stops on our antique car tour to see a private museum of restored cars, trucks and tractors. Pretty impressive collection. I asked the owner if it worked and he said for the most part it kept nesting birds away. It was going off while our club was there, can’t say the sound was annoying but you definitely noticed it.

I've had good luck with the kind of netting that is made to protect fruit trees. Its a black 1/2" mesh that I staple to the rafters It's almost invisible.Looking for a solution to swallow’s nesting and crapping under my son’s carport.they perch on the z-channel.a deterrent is what I’m looking for,not the 12 gauge solution
2nd this. I have an open pole shed, have netting hung under the rafters and no eave overhangs. Keeps the swallows out, once in a while a wren or other tiny bird will get through the net.I've had good luck with the kind of netting that is made to protect fruit trees.
