swapping a 9600 engine

The original subject was "Re: swapping a 9600 engine".

will not work unless you modify the front end and get a tw series oil pan. I tried this with my 8000 and the oil pump was my hang up and i did not want to mess up my front end.

I'm not half cocked. I told you 3 months ago it wouldn't work, and now you're coming back here today to tell us it didn't work! Why try to reinvent the wheel?

It was a LITTLE to late by the time that I came on here. SORRY I wasted my own time and money on this. I came on here to help someone else not have all the time and money wasted on it. And this was a year ago by the way.

As I recall... you were told quite plainly by several of us that what you wanted to do would not work... Wether you asked before you started or not... I do not recall. What I do know is that there have been a couple more since who have determined to do similar things, ask inumerable questions on the subject, get the same asnwers you got, refuse to listen... then come back wondering why it didn't work.
The thread you replied to has responses from Bern, myself and others quite clearly stating that the swap could not be done without a major headache... so I don't think the information was lacking.
We see these question about every 6-8 weeks on here with somebody wondering why they can't just drop a Brazilian 6.6 from a bus into a 8/9000 or TW variant because they got a pinholed block that could easily be fixed... and this would be a 'CHEAP' fix because they got the engine for nothing. For once and for all.... it just don't work.

I did no prior research or questioning before I bought the truck engine and tried to install it. I came on here saying a year ago that I needed help because I had the engine and got a hang up on the oil pump. I discourage people from trying it if they do not want to jerry rig things. I was agreeing with you guys on the post saying I personally went threw it. Its not right that I am being treated like I knew about it and got ------ when it didn"t work and I knew.

My name is Jerry. I resemble that saying.

Mabey I got you mixed up with someone else... but it's not like there isn't 40 more who've tried the same thing in the past 10 years I've been around here.
