The original subject was "swapping a 9600 engine".
the 86 one will bolt up, new one has a 8 bolt fly wheel, you need the 6 bolt. Also the top bolts for mounting the engine to the transmission do not lines up. But i had the 86 one bolted all up by my hand up was the oil pump being in the front of the engine. i changed cams not realizing there is no way to hook up the gear for the pump. Junked the idea.
