this year's sweet corn seed was smaller than same variety sent last year, and didn't fit
well in the plates that I have for the IH FH planter. I have a boatload of plates left
from the JD 494A planters that I used years ago, with some that were perfectly sized. I
had made up the FH tool bar, long ago, to go with JD 71 planter units, to plant in skips if they
happened. Combination worked great! Finished the 4th and last planting of sweet corn this
morning. It should be ready around Labor Day or just after.
