Swivel seat

Just wondering if anyone has made a swivel in their Ford tractor seat.
Maybe you know of a seat on the market that would fit a Ford 800, that will swivel.
Wouldn't have to swivel much. If you have a fixed seat then you know how uncomfortable it is to try and look back to control a box blade or rake or most any thing. Just backing is a pain.
Guess I’m just getting old and looking for a work around. Thanks for any positive reply.

I'm with you. The seat on my '54 NAA wobbles around a little but I'm considering trying to make it swivel more.

Many years ago I wanted a softer ride on my Jubilee. I asked on YT if anyone made a seat similar to the seat on my Farmall C, with a large coil spring..
Yes they made an aftermarket seat. It is called a Monroe seat. I think because it had a Monroe shock absorber on it. Someone on this site had one. I had to rebuild it and adapt it to fit the Jubilee. It was made for a 2N or 9N.
No swivel, but a softer rede. I bought a new spring from YT. The old spring lost its spring.
I have to get on the tractor like getting on a horse, throwing my leg over the seat.
5 Years ago my Jubilee was retired from pushing snow and mowing the lawn.
I replaced her with a Kubota, only because the Kubota had a cab, heat and AC.
I hate to get rid of the Jubilee. Still a good tractor.
Even if you installed a swivel, how would you get your feet over the transmission and past the shifter?
My Boss has problems with lawn mowers that are not step-through. Same issue, raised transmission and shifter in the way.

there are places you can buy a swivel that would install right under your seat. On some models it might need a palte to mount the seat bracket to the swivel then mount the seat. IT would probably raise the seat up an inch or two. I looked into them for a couple tractors. I thought they were a bit on the pricey side for just on an old tractor. At the time a few years ago they were in the 100-200 plus price tag. tehy had a stop for more or less swivel along with a lock so it would not swivel when not needed.

As you age and your neck tightens up a swivel becomes worth more.
