I was talking to a guy near me who owns a T5050 and sister's husband also bought a T5050. He has 450 hours on his and had to split it already. Roll pin snapped in the transmission. He said the shuttle shift will break your neck, and his sister's husband's tractor doesn't do that, so something is wrong with that too. He said the model number is probably a literal translation of your odds of a good owner experience.

I think those tractors are built in Italy, better than the Turkish ones. But still, do you want to split it after 450 hours?

The Workmaster series are the Turkish ones. Talk about a stripped down tractor. It's not the stripping down that scares me though, it's quality of the components and workmanship.

a cheap cotter pin is probably $0.0009 or just a fraction of a penny. A good expensive cotter pin is probably $0.01. But, they don't spring for that, so when it fails, you are taking the lift cover off. Same thing with cheap roll pins.

I'm working on a Zetor 5245 right now so I am pretty bitter about poor quality components. LOL

Regardless, the best thing to do if you are considering a purchase is have a salesman bring one over and leave it for a couple days, pay rental if you have to. If you find something about it that bugs you after a few days, imagine how it will be if you already made a down payment on it.

Just my opinion...
