we had the same problem with our 88 diesel. it was originally a gas from 1949. we put a 53 diesel in it but we put a rod in wrong and wore it down. then we converted our 49 gas block to a diesel block and thats when we noticed there was no space for a tach drive. after looking around it turns out oliver had many different drives. a former oliver mechanic we know of had a tach drive that was used in the super 55's that uses that spot you have pictured. instead of the drive coming from the side it went from the top down.

You will need to make a decision. Do you want to keep thedouble oil filter base or would you be happy with a tach drive and a single oil filter? I can post part numbers later tonight.

Bottom number is K-100C. All 88 Oliver blocks have some version of K-100 for a blck casting number That engine is before the spring of 52.
