tach question

I removed the tach cable from my 245 while painting it. When I put it back on the tach is acting weird going all the way around an jumping any advise??

check the end of the cable that hooks to the engine drive it will wear and slip inside the drive, also the cable it can have a worn place inside the housing catching on the cable either will cause the tach to bounce,you can check the tach by direct driving it slowly with a drill to see if it's working proper

When you re-assembled it. It is in a 'bind'... you need to take it back apart and make sure your re-assemble correctly...
