I got a new timing light but not sure where 450 and 2200 RPM's is on the Tachometer.

The tachometer shows the RPM's for 1st gear, 2nd gear etc. but with the shifter in neutral is that the same readings?

Want to check the Static timing and engine high idle RPM's.

Don't think I'm asking the question correctly but I think you know what I am trying to do. LOL

Thanks,
WVKid, Earl

the proofmeter shows ENGINE RPM

it also shows approx MPH ground speed depending ont he gear and rpm, assuming standard tires.

and no.. your tranny being in neutrral does not effect at what ENGINE rpm you are running at.. and thus what is displayed on t he proofmeter!
