OK, I got one of those $85. new reproduction tach/operation meters off e-bay for my D14. I finally got it installed and my drive cable fixed. The tach works fine! I am still befuddled why all of a sudden these cheap new repro. tachs showed up. No marks of origin of manufacture or any sort of mark on it at all. It "looks" just like an original from 50 years ago. I guess there has been a large enough demand for them recently and someone is now having them made. Cool.
