Hello. I just recently purchaced a B414 serial #585 and the tack cable was missing. I have looked all over the engine for a place to hook the cable to and either there never was a place or I'm blind! Has anyone replaced the cable or had a B414 and knows where it goes? I have not bought a new cable yet but would like to get it working. Any help would be very appreciated. Thanks.

Hi, if you blow this photo up, you can see the tach cable under the battery box and connecting to tach drive mechanism where the distributor shaft comes out of engine block.

My 1962 B414 had the tach cable which I traced to the tach drive
gear housing mounted on the base of the distributor, but on further
examination I discovered that the housing was empty... no drive
gear. Does anyone know where I might get a replacement either for
the gear (which may be impossible to replace, or a whole
functioning housing with the drive gear? I've searched a bit but no
luck.

Thanks. I've learned a lot from this forum, so thanks to everyone
who posts about these great tractors!
