Talk about Bad Luck

My neighbor is having a very bad year cutting, baling hay. He has got his big Swather stuck in the mud twice and now the final drive has gone kaput on it so it's stuck in the field till he gets parts. WTF
He just called me and said his Select o speed shift cable on his Ford 4000 has broken near the top of the case. And he can't locate one around here so I'm reaching out for him to see if anybody has a shift cable that they want to part with?? If ya do Call Arne at 541-650-7998, leave message if don't answer. To top it off he also has a fordson Major he was using to bale hay and now it's thrown a rod he says.

I'll trade pasture so dry and hard you couldn't drive nails in it for land
wet enough to get stuck,,,,,as long as it has grass. Cows get cheaper and hay
gets higher ever day that gos by with no rain.

He did get the broken end brazed back on so at least he could run the tractor with the baler on it.
Also he got the New Holland swather repaired so it's running again.
