TD-5 Crawler

Hello I was looking at a TD-5 crawler for sale and the engine is tight and I think the head is cracked. What I was wondering is that if there are any engine options that would work with the smallest amount of headache. I know where a C-135 gas engine is available. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

BD-144C was the engine that came in the TD-5, this engine was also fitted in B-270, B275, B276 AG tractors, 2300A Industrial tractor & in the #201 Windrower. BD-154 replaced the BD-144 engine round about 1965. These are the same engine with larger bore, they would be direct replacement. The BD-154 came in the 500 model crawler, B414, 363,384,434 & 444 AG tractors, 2424,2444,3414,3444 Industrial tractors, #93 combine & 7000 forklift.( might need to swap oil pans & other jewelery if it comes from an AG tractor or other).
C-135 Gas engine came in the T-5 which was the gas version of the TD-5. It would be another replacement. Also the C-123 came in the T-4 so it would fit also.
C-135 & C-123 were also available in several AG & IND tractors.
