TD340 dozer / crawler

I have running TD340 diesel had it for years but mostly stored not used much. The front bearings are shot.. worn into the shaft. I'm looking for a source for them if anybody knows please let me know thanks

Depending on size and other particulars on the shaft buy a regular shaft of appropriate steel material and cut it off. The bearings should be able to be sourced from Motion or any decent bearing supplier. If poured bearings or brass sleeves just get a brass tube and cut to fit or fit with a lathe. Poured will need to be done with a bit of finesse to it. a Wood stick or other bore sizer with a form for the outside diameter them cut into halves after a hole for the grease fitting has been drilled.

In my opinion you need to get a parts book to see what all you need. Once you find part numbers you can search for them on the net, even salvage yards use part numbers. As suggested by Catguy bearings often are available through other resources. I rarely recommend another manual source on here due to YT sells manuals but in this case I do not think this site carries the parts manual for you machine. I suggest Farm Manuals Fast. You can download a copy for $15. The poster M. Maynard you replied to in your other post only made those couple of posts back in 2013 and has not been active since. So you probably cannot expect any replies from him.

Great source thanks.. Got the manual. Unfortunately I'm not sure which of two versions I have. Here's a pic of my dozer wheel. I guess there's no greased bearing just a bushing?? Must be a zeros fitting somewhere? At least I'm getting closer...

Look at parts 1, 8, 9 & 12 see if there is a part number
cast in them. That may tell you which one you have.

The idler itself (3 and 10) may have a number showing as well.

my way of doing stuff is tear it down then make a list of whats needed. not going to know other wise. then u have samples in hand when
hunting parts.

sorry I didn't see this until now... no I'm in southern Michigan
