I have put new glow plugs, voltage regulator, rebuilt starter and generator into machine and got it running. After going for three hours I shut it down but an hour later the wire running from the bat. terminal of the regulator to the ammeter burned up and fried the wiring harness.
I disconnected the battery strap and stopped the fire. The key switch was off and the wires looked ok.
Does anyone have any ideas why it would burn and would this fire have damaged the new electrical parts?
