TE-20 and TO-20

Most parts are interchangeable the biggest difference being the steering box, which is all one with the gearbox cover on the TE and two separate items on the TO,though the internals may fit? Some differences in the hood locking arrangement also.
There was an equivalent of the TO30 made in the UK called the 20/85 in Canada. We just called it the 12 volt. The larger bore Standard built engine was available before the 12 volt came out (at tractor no.200,001) But there was a heavier diff fitted about the time of the 12 volt changeover. Still called the TEA20 though.

Not trying to confuse you, however there was a Massey Ferguson FF30. From that I would have to guess it was from France.

The FF30 appears to be a French assembled TEA20 with Standard engine. Surprisingly, I saw one in Florida.

The TE products in 1953 and early 1954 are characterized by a double numbering series. The first plate carries a serial number in the sequence of tractors manufactured in Coventry and end with F, the second plate indicates the year, month and then the serial number of the assembly in France, at the factory St Denis.
