TE20 seat cushion

Anybody come across a decent off the shelf cushion for a TE20, I've tried the couple that seem available and they are basically rubbish, not shaped in any way so they just sit up in the air on the front pommel and just slide about

If nothing works then I'll happily make my own shaped one but I would have thought there was something out there? Mine came with a green canvas one with two brass eyelets (like the tractor covers) filled with wadding that feels like it could have been original. It was falling apart and rotted but it fitted quite nicely! Can't find anything like that still available now though.

That's interesting, the 8N ones are shaped for the nose, just need to find one in the UK without a Ford logo on!

I took apart a mouse-nest filled, falling apart, seat that came with a broken tractor. You have the pattern right there.

Zip out the stitching and lay out what you have on a sheet of 'boat seat vinyl' from a fabric store. Use an old pillow or buy some foam and some fabric for the back (if it's not backed with vinyl). Practice on scraps with the two seat rivets and rivet tool (fabric/hobby store carries them).

I have an old 1950s Singer 'black iron' sewing machine that I used to stitch it all up. So it's deeply authentic, lol.

If you make patterns before you put your cushion together you'll have the information to make a cushions for another tractor.

Thanks but the one I tried is like that, think most of them are designed for the MF35 with the flat seat and the higher back. They either need to be shaped around the nose or softer like a cushion to form around it.

I compared my T0-30 seat to my Ford 841. Seat pans are the same, so the Ford should fit. I have one on the Ford and it fits well and is pretty comfy.

That's what I'm edging towards, I still have my old one on a stool in the workshop. Similar to you I have an old Singer foot powered shoe sewing machine that will push a needle through anything.

May take a while but like my Fergie it's not about how fast you can do things!
