Hi,
Don't know if you can help me but I was wondering if you knew the Massey model in which the engine was started by pushing the gear stick up to the left. I think it may have been the TE20 but I'm not sure. I had a discussion about this tractor and was told I was wrong, but I'm sure I'm not.
My email address is [email protected]
Any info would be appreciated.
Many thanks
Sandy

Don't know about Massey tractors, but all Ferguson tractor engines were started via gear lever being moved into the "S" (start) position.

It was a simple and effective safety device to ensure the tractor could not be started whilst in gear.

That includes:
UK built: TE20, TEA20 including TED20, TEF20 etc.
US built: TO20, TO30.
