TEA-20 Steering box oil

I have a TEA-20 1952 that I want to check the steering box oil and drain if necessary. The filler plug is below the steering wheel and is there a drain plug I am not aware of? How much oil do you add? Thanks, Andy

According to the TO 30 Owners Manual the oil level should be maintained between the middle of the drop down arms. On the TO 20/30 that plug is the only plug you have to add oil. If you want to drain the oil you have to remove all of the steering column and take the bottom off, or I suppose you could get one of those sucking units and get it out that way. I don't feel water getting in the oil there is a big problem.

There is no drain on this steering box, just top up the box with heavy engine oil (to prevent leaks), just fill it as much as you can get in there.Try to lubricate the top bearing under the steering wheel as that runs dry after a while, grease is best but use oil if you cant get into it...John
