Thier is a tag on it that said it was sold by Sears and Roebuck Co. Has a number on it.
917.575143
Serial # 63201
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks Joe. I tried to post a picture of it and I don't think it worked. I was not sure who made it. How do I find out how old it is?

Try enlargeing/viewing assembly drawings at sears site, sometime you can find a mfg yr on same,if none check eng id tag,mfg usually works a yr of mfg into ser#,if tag on eng has a sears pn on it,you're out in the cold, might try taking this number to a local mower shop, they may be able to cross ref & ballpark yr of eng mfg, best guess would be late 40's-early 60's

what you have is the second to the last model of a David Bradley walk-behind tractor. the 917 number is for the DB plant in Bradley ,il. AYP and the others came way later in Sears life.
