I posted and found out I have a 1966 ford 2000 from the numbers I sent in. Last year I replaced the temp sending unit and the gage worked fine all year. This year the gage is not working so I shut the tractor off. I checked the wiring due to squirrels and the wire was fine. Is there a way to check the gage itself or could the sending unit have gone bad that quick?

take the wire off sending unit and ground it. with key on, the guage should move to hot. do same thing at back of guage.. run a wire from the sending unit post to ground and the gauge should go to hot..

I grounded the wire with the key on and the gage did not move. It got dark so had to quit until tomorrow. I hope I do not have to buy that whole instrument panel because my tractor has an alternator on it so the RPM doesn't work anyway. It is an old tractor and suits what I need. I would like for all the gages to work but I at least want the oil pressure and temp gages to work. Do they make a single gage that will fit that will work?
