temp. sending unit

I am trying to find where the temp.sending unit is locted on a 1750 diesal, Oliver

It's been several years since I helped my brother rebuild his 1800, so I don't remember exactly. BUT, look closely at the thermostat housing for a brass plug with threads and a nut with a wire on it. If not there, check the head over carefully, and you will find it. Chris

i have a ol 1650 diesel. it is by thermostat on top of water pump. oval electric wire with threaded nut.

ill have to say im having the same trouble right now w my 1750!! just got the engine in yesterday
