Temperature gauge fitting size TO-30

Can anyone tell me what size the fitting that goes into the thermostat housing for the temperature gauge is? I bought a universal set off Amazon and the fitting is way to big and if you take off that fitting for the smaller one that's on it wont tighten up. I can post pictures tomorrow. I think the original is 3/8?

i ran in to the same situation with my to 20. the universal wont work. they sell the correct one on this site for about 24 dollars

Water neck thread size?

I am trying to replace the coolant temperature gauge. I cannot figure out the thread size of the port. Thanks in advance! Seems too tight for a 3/8” And way too loose for a sparex gauge I bought from NAPA.

Which one did you buy? Can you send me a picture of the one you bought off the site? Is the hole size 3/8?
