Can anyone help me with the thread size for the temperature probe on a MF 165 gas engine? My gauge doesn’t work but I find that not all gauges come with the same size bushing to screw in the thermostat housing.

Most comes with a bushing if you need it. I never use it the probe always is correct.

Just ordered one for 165 and you should be good.

Bushing required may be different between the Perkins gas and the Continental gas. The aftermarket gauge kits I have been getting at the local parts store have several NPT bushings and a metric bushing.

It has the continental engine. I just didn’t know which threads I needed. Some say NPT threads and some say UNF.
