temporary gas tank

been trying to figure out the best way to hook up a temporary gas line to my 8n,so I dont have to fool with the hood when I'm checking my work for leaks etc any ideas? Thanks

Heres one post from the archives that might help. I made the PVC one just cause I had some of the stuff already & the rest was easily found at the hardware store.

Here is another one made from a platic juice jar. Just drilled out the bottom & forced a fitting in there from a carb. Can't drive it around this way, but can get it started.

You would not believe how many engines I have got up and running using a lawn mower gas tank. I have one that holds 1qt of gas and works great plus if something goes wrong 1qt of gas will not burn long and its small enough to throw a long ways to get it out of the way if a fire does start

Hey Sean -- that's the best way to power a portable radio I ever saw!

(at least it looks that way from the pic...)

Here's my TEA20 running on a 1936 Scott Atwater outboard motor tank with an inline fuel filter (yeah, flow was marginal but I had no sediment bowl hooked up and wanted at least some protection). Not real portable, either clamped to the rafter!
