Terramite T5 starting

Background, T5 no longer manufactured, Hydraulic pump driven.
I just tried to start my T5 and it's very slow cranking. It sounds like the hydraulic pump is also trying to energize the implements at same time as starting, kinda like the hyd. pump is locked on. Des that make sense. I stopped cranking and came here before doing damage. Almost as if i have to turn off or disengage the pump from engine starting. Thanks

There is no way to disengage the pump. It is open center hydraulics. If the pump is loading while trying to start you have a valve open on some function. Does the machine try to move forward or reverse while starting? If so the foot pedal in not in neutral.

For the record. I got to look over the T5 today, one of the outrigger levers was stuck in down position. As soon as i went to neutral, the engine turned over and started just like normal. Big relief. Thanks all
