Thanks to all for all the input I recieved for the hughsnet thread. Now I have some deciding to do. Hughesnet, wildblue, microwave, better than just one choice. This is a great site. Doug N

We used Direcway till it became Hughes and then continued with them for a while, They were expensive and their customer support was extremely pitiful, got fed up with their pitiful support and in a weak moment of stupidity, fell for the local electric co-op's pitch about wild blue and sure enough their customer support was better, it is located in the U.S. ,Their speed on the basic package doesn't equal the speed of the Hughes basic package. I am biding my time till the contract runs out and I can get off wildblue and shout "HOORAY". I have a Hughes dish and modem if you need one.
