Grateful thanks to all who responded to my locked in PARK query last week. I had imagined all sorts of transmission problems, but looking in the right places found that it was very simple. A simple disassembly at the steering column disclosed that a very simple manual maneuver got me out of the immediate problem. Just a very simple manipulation of a tiny solenoid in the steering column at least relieved the immediate problem. Now I know how to approach the cure!! Thanks again!!
