I"ve always considered myself an electrical idiot, might still be but anyway... I wanted to say thanks to all of you who have provided answers over the last few years on 12 volt conversions.
I just rewired four tractors on 12 volt conversion with alternators. I didn"t have to post a single question since there were literally thousands of posts on this subject. I know it"s not that hard but I didn"t even know how to do something as solder a resistor!
Thanks to you all (especially Bob M, Janicholson and a host of other regulars) I was able to go step by step, double check and fire up the first tractor with complete sucess! Three more followed with confidence after that.
Now I need to get rid of some perfectly good cloth wiring harnesses, regulators and generators!
