That wasn't fun

Drove my 8N with backhoe back home today. I have a long steep hill on my driveway and the 8N jumped out of 1st gear going down the hill. Had to reach back to the backhoe controls and lower the out rigger to stop it. Got it back in 1st and kept my right knee holding it in gear the rest of the way down the hill

You’re not having much luck with your tractors lately!
They all sit a lot more then I would like so of course they can not always run as I hope they will. Pulled the fuel line off the carb and made sure of gas flow and that was good. Took the cap loose and tried to fire it up and it ran just fine and did so till I got done putting the horse in the ground

Rich, Glad you're OK.

old, when is the last time you did ANYTHING that was "fun"?

Front has no power down plus doing that you can not steer
If you tilt the front edge of the bucket down a little, it will dig into the dirt and stop you. Plus, I'd be more worried about stopping than steering.

So, aside from the tractor troubles, you lost a horse? That was no doubt sad. Sorry to hear that.
