the B is finished

Its been 20 months and a big setback in the summer, a fire in the shop. The B is finally done. After paint partial assembly I fire the engine and started and ran with no problems. I had one problem when testing all the systems, the seal between the PTO and rear end oils. All the oil in the Power Trol was sucked out so replace the seal. The assembly went well for my first tractor. I dedicated it to my father who past in Oct. from a hard fight with leukemia.

A few years ago I did the twin to your tractor it was a 1942 B electric start. However took me
longer to complete, well satisfied with the finished Product & looks as good as the fine job you
on yours. The tractor was purchased new on our farm & has spent it's entire life at the same farm
& still gets used for liter duties. What I find that is truly amazing to me is the dates posted.
Grandfather who purchased new was Born on 3/7/35 He passed away 10/15/10 & he passed away from
Leukemia..

Looks great! My grandfather had a "B" like yours. I restored it in 1981 in his honor only to lose it in a barn fire in 1989. What year is yours?

Its a 46, luckily it was not in the main part of the fire. I had the motor and axel rebuilt before. The sheet metal got the worst of it. The hood was ok the grill was warped but got it strait and had to go with a replacement battery panels.
