The first TA, where

Is that right - they prototyped it on a H but never made H's with a TA? I know development stuff doesn't always end up where you expect it.(hopefully this doesn't more of the H-TA discussions going).
 
international... came out in 1954 on the super W6 at serial # 10,000. including the diesel models.AND also the super M, diesel models included. then continued in the 400, 450, 460, 560, 660.
 
May want to narrow the subject down to tractor or whatever and what designs you consider a t/a. Could be argued that the model T ford used the same idea.
 
I'd agree. I couldn't live without it. When I drive some of the OLD tractors around here I am constantly looking for a t/a handle. The old grinding tractor could sure use one.
 
And, it could be further argued that this concept continues in the automatic transmissions of today's automobiles. Funny how really GOOD ideas hang around for a very long time, while the mediocre ones sort of quietly fade away.
