This is a picture from 1955 of the parts department of Phillips Farm Equipment, Phillips, WI Arnie Rhyner, owner. The other gentleman is wearing a Case logo shirt so he is an employee. I am not able to determine how long he was in business, but Phillips is on the very northern edge of farming country. I hope you enjoy this piece of Case history. It takes me back to my childhood visits to the Case dealer for sure. Don

I'm with you on that Don, gosh if things could be that simple, I sure enjoyed the picture, wish there was more of them

I really enjoy seeing these old dealerships, back when men were men, and deals were made with a handshake. Do you have any pictures inside the old shops?

I only wish I could find more photos like this one. It seems hardly anybody either took dealer photos or kept them if they did take some. This one came out of an old high school yearbook ad. I would bet shop photos are even more rare. Don

Another Great Picture !!! I would love to have some of the advertising pieces in that pic especially the Eagle Hitch Banners. Thanks for posting. Nick

Brad,

I believe you are correct. They must have been a Case/AC dealer. There was an AC dealer in Phillips until about 1980. They must have succeeded this business. It's a little scary, nobody I talked with at the library or historical society remembered there being a Case dealer at all. They were pretty surprised to find this photographic evidence. Don

There was also a Case Dealer in St. Johns. Michigan in the '50's. It was the Phillips Implement Company, owned by Harold E. Phillips. There were also an Oliver Dealer. I owned a "350" Case with a 3 btm. mounted plow that they had sold new to my Great Uncle. I sure wish I still had it.
