With the dry weather we've been having, I've been able to drive down to the river bottoms in an area that was too wet in the past. Many dead Ash trees with widow maker branches 40 plus feet in the air, they needed cut last year. A few are solid yet, but I need to be careful because I've found tops that have fallen after I've drove through a place. The bottom area is about 45 feet lower that this area where these logs lay. The 300 has to pull up a steep incline so I have to guess the amount of drag and weight the log will have so the front won't rear up. I carry the front of the logs with the lift arms so they can't dig in. All this to feed a outside wood furnace for a greenhouse and workshop and serves as backup to our house.
