I posted the other day about a mouse chewing the tops off all the switches on the console of my combine.
Well I went into the Deere dealer and asked the parts guy if he had seen this before. Both he and the mechanic that was at the parts counter said Yeah, it happens. It's a elastoplastic pad that lays over a circuit board switch panel and apparently is quite tasty to the little varmints. In fact the dealer had 7 in stock for their network of stores. At the price of $225 it works out to about 33 bushels of corn that the little buggers ate. Plus the cost of another bucket of TomCat bait!
